The american establishment have really succeeded in making people think tax is a bad thing. In every country with free health care and free higher education we know the benefits of higher tax. But the rich always try to lobby for lower and fewer taxes, of course, with the help of conservatives. You will find this dynamic in most countries. But somehow nowadays people lack basic knowledge of ideology and political science so they can be tricked by people like this.

One thing I think that is missed is because some want power for themselves by complying with authoritarian power or dictators it reaps a reward in their created system even if it’s a corrupt system. Yes, I do want to fund the police, but with restraints and governors. We need the constitution to work. We need strong laws that make this overreach illegal, but sorry, I don't want another summer of love, either. So, that conversation has a pretty big scope.
